So what do we mean by saying that we treat you as individuals? Firstly, many accountants will not actually meet with their clients from one year to the next, resorting to emails that are frequently in accountant speak. By contrast, we like to begin if at all possible by meeting with the prospective client to discuss what we will do for his or her business, including business and personal tax saving approaches.
We meet again with you a few months later, to go through the first set of management accounts so that you can gain an understanding of your own company accounts. During the rest of the year, we send you quarterly emails and management accounts, which will give you an up to date position of how your company is performing and point to any items requiring your attention. Finally, we hold a meeting at the end of the year to discuss the figures and implications for personal tax and company tax, and any steps that could still be taken to reduce these liabilities.
When it comes to doing what we can to minimise company and personal tax we will give you advice on what expenses to claim through the business. Many accountants simply do not take the trouble to do this. Umbrella companies may be unable to claim them because of their inflexible processes. We will watch what you take out of your company for personal use, and advise you how to avoid higher rate tax as far as is possible. We don’t know of any other accountant that does this. Many of our clients have made tax savings that exceed their accounting fees just from this service!
